Dublin: Team LCC triumphed in the 11th Lucan Confident Cricketers Champions Trophy, securing the title in an exciting final. The tournament, held on May 25 and 26, featured 24 teams and was the largest cricket event of the year in Ireland.
LCC emerged victorious against AMC in the final match, earning a €1001 cash prize and an Everrolling Trophy, courtesy of Confident Travel. AMC, the runners-up, received a €501 cash prize and an Everrolling Trophy sponsored by Bicano Seven Seas Vegetables.
Despite challenging weather conditions, the organizers expressed gratitude to all participating teams for their cooperation, which contributed to the event’s success.
Abdullah, the wicketkeeper-batter for LCC, was named Man of the Match in the final. AMC’s Naveen Paul received the Best Batsman award for the tournament, while Mani from WCF was honored as the Best Bowler.
The tournament was organized by Confident Travels, Bicano Seven Seas Vegetables, Pure Dosa Batters, Tylux, Recruitnet, Spice Bazaar, and Royal Caters. The collaboration of cricket enthusiasts played a significant role in the tournament’s success, according to Lucan Confident Cricketers.
