Man in his 20s dies after single-vehicle crash in Co Galway

In Co. Galway, a road accident claimed the life of a man in his 20s.
On the N63, in the Creeveroe, Newbridge, and Ballinasloe townlands, a single vehicle crashed yesterday at about 12.45 p.m.

The man, a passenger in the vehicle, was declared dead at the scene, and his body has been transported to Portiuncula University Hospital for a post-mortem.

The car’s 20-year-old driver was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to contact them.

Anyone travelling on the main road between Roscommon and Galway between 12.20pm and 1.00pm this afternoon and who may have camera footage, is asked to contact Ballinasloe Garda Station on 090 963 1890, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.
