In a recent development, the Indian Association Sligo is set to embark on its 18th year with a fresh leadership team. Anirban Banja has been elected as the new President, with Harini Vallabhaneni as Secretary and Monsi Varghese as Treasurer. Albert Kuriakos will continue to serve as the Public Relations Officer. Diaz Xavier will take on the role of Media Officer, while Divyasree Anilkumar assumes the position of Auditor. Notably, Srilekha Arun steps into the role of Cultural Secretary.
Founded in 2006, the association prioritizes the welfare of its members over celebrations. Collaborating with governmental bodies like the County Council, Garda, Indian Embassy, as well as non-governmental entities such as the North West Hospice and Sligo Rovers Football Club, the association is dedicated to fostering harmony within the Indian community and their integration with the local Irish population.
