In a move that will significantly benefit public transport users in Ireland, the National Transport Authority has announced that a 24/7 bus service will be introduced between Limerick city and Shannon Airport.
The 343 Bus Eireann route connecting Limerick Bus Station to the airport will run on a 24/7 basis with services every 20 minutes during peak times and every 30 minutes at off-peak times on weekdays, RTE reported.
The service will commence on August 25.
Commenting on the move, NTA chief executive Anne Graham said the “revised network will operate at a higher frequency which will benefit communities across the region who want to use public transport to get to work, school or attend leisure activities in the area.”
The NTA further said that a number of services in Clare will also be improved, including the 330 route to Ennis and Newmarket-on-Fergus, and the 316 and 317 services connecting to Sixmilebridge.
