‘Psychiatry: An Industry of Death’ international exhibition opens in Dublin

The international exhibition ‘Psychiatry: An Industry of Death’ will open in Dublin on February 21, with the launch event taking place at the The Gresham Hotel on O’Connell Street Upper.

Following the opening, daily guided tours will run from February 22 to 27.

Organisers say the exhibition examines the history of psychiatry, focusing on alleged human rights abuses and cases of exploitation linked to mental health treatment practices over the years. Through displays, documented case studies and historical material, the event aims to spark discussion about patient rights and ethical standards in mental healthcare.

The exhibition is open to members of the public and admission is free.

Visitors are expected to attend from across Dublin and surrounding counties during the six-day programme.
