Revolut has introduced instant access savings accounts for users of its ‘Revolut <18’ app, tailored for children aged 6–17 and linked to a parent or guardian’s main account.
This new feature is designed to help young users grow their pocket money by earning daily interest—just like adult accounts—with no cap on how much interest they can earn.
Interest rates depend on the parent’s Revolut plan. While the Standard and Plus plan have a rate of 1.7 per cent, the Premium, Metal and the Ultra plans fetch 1.85 per cent, 2 per cent, and 2.5 per cent.
As per Revolut, approximately one in three children in Ireland now have a Revolut <18 account.
