The Ministry of Culture, Government of India has launched a new online portal to record and upload national anthem videos as part of the 75th Independence Day Celebration. Anyone can sing and record India’s national anthem through the portal https://rashtragaan.in. A compilation of the uploaded videos will be telecasted live on 15th August 2021.
All persons participating in the programme will be issued a ‘Certificate of Participation’ and the government encourages to post these certificates on their social media with the hashtag #rashtragaan. The Embassy of India in Dublin requested the participants to send the certificate to admn.dublin@mea.gov.in for info.
How to participate?
1. Open https://rashtragaan.in
2. Click on “Proceed” or on the right-click at the bottom right (in case of mobile devices)
3. Enter your name in the box below the headline “Please enter your name here” and select the correct option in “Your Age Group”, Enter the Country name from where the video is being recorded/uploaded. Then click on “Let’s Sing” or on the right-click at the bottom right (in case of mobile devices)
4. Align your face to the screen (At this stage the portal may ask for permission to record audio and video from the device being used)
5. Once the face is aligned, press on “Record”- The national anthem music will start playing after a countdown from 3 and the text of the national anthem (in Hindi) will be visible for use of those recording a video.
6. Once the video has been recorded, there will be an option to listen to the recording before up0loading or Restart (this will initiate the process on the portal ab-initio). If the individual is satisfied with the playback of the recording, Press Upload to enable the portal to save the video.
