Tanaiste Leo Varadkar hopes that the lift in restrictions will.lead the country to a state of normality by this summer. The people could enjoy a normal Christmas too. The only problem is that in the case of the new virus, nothing could be promised as it is more contagious and dangerous than the earlier version. The restrictions on travel and indoor gatherings will be continued till autumn.
The cases had been stable and the number of critical cases are on a fall which is the success of the health department and the Covid frontline workers. Thus outdoor dining would be considered to restart by July. Mr. Varadkar is looking for happenings in the countries which are better than them in Covid vaccination rollout. Life in Israel is almost normal again. He feels that the education sector will also be revived to its full in September.
Health Minister Stephen Donelly said that the impact of the virus had fallen steadily especially among the health workers as the vaccine rollout is almost complete. The government is happy to receive any Covid vaccine offered to them. Currently Ireland uses four vaccines which are very safe according to their practical knowledge.
