Forecasters have issued a thunderstorm warning for 15 counties in Ireland.
With thunderstorms and heavy rain expected between midday and 9 p.m. on Sunday, Met Éireann has issued a Yellow notice.
According to the forecaster, it was probable that some houses and businesses will experience flooding, which might harm structures or buildings.
“There is a good chance driving conditions will be affected by spray, standing water and/or hail, leading to longer journey times by car and bus,” it said, adding that delays to train services and loss of power were possible.
Nine counties in the country’s east have also received a Status Yellow thunderstorm warning from Met Éireann: Carlow, Dublin, Kildare, Louth, Meath, Wexford, Wicklow, Cavan, and Monaghan.
