In the QS European University Rankings 2025, Trinity College Dublin has been recognized as the best Irish university in Europe, ranking 26th with a score of 83.4 points. Switzerland’s ETH Zurich tops the list with a perfect score of 100 points. British universities dominate positions two to eight, including Imperial College London, University of Oxford, University of Cambridge, UCL, University of Edinburgh, University of Manchester, and King’s College London. Université PSL in Paris and EPFL in Switzerland hold the ninth and tenth spots, respectively.
Five Irish universities made it into the top 200. University College Dublin is ranked 51st, University of Galway 98th, University College Cork 105th, University of Limerick 145th, and Dublin City University 152nd. Additionally, Maynooth University and Technological University Dublin are placed in the post-200 list, ranked 289th and 296th respectively.
