Two adult male teenagers arrested over Ballyfermot assault which left 17-year-old girl with serious injuries

Two male adult teenagers have been arrested in connection with an assault where 17-year-old teenager Alanna Quinn Idris and her male friend received serious injuries by four assailants. The assault took place in Ballyfermot, Dublin on 30th December around 9.30 p.m.

Ms Quinn is receiving treatment at hospital and the doctors suggest she could lose sight of one eye. Ms Quinn has a ruptured eyeball, broken teeth and broken bones in her cheek and eye socket after the assault. Her friend had received stab wounds.

Garda from Ballyfermot and Clondalkin have this morning conducted a number of searches and arrested two male adult teenagers. Both males are detained at Garda stations in west Dublin under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984, a press release from gardai said.

Gardaí at Ballyfermot are appealing for witness who may not yet have come forward and in particular motorists who may have dash cam footage from Ballyfermot Road between approximately 9:15pm and 10pm on the 30/`12/2021 to contact them at Ballyfermot Garda Station 6667200 or the Garda Confidential line 1800 666 111.
