Ireland added Georgia and Malaysia to its renewed mandatory hotel quarantine list. People travelling from or through these countries within last 14 days, have to stay in a hotel after arriving in Ireland. The restriction for travellers will come into effect from 4 AM on August 4. Meanwhile the department of health confirmed Saudi Arabia was taken out of the list.
According to the officials there are currently 28 countries in Ireland’s mandatory hotel quarantine list. People travelling from countries outside of this list have to show the proof of vaccination or possess a negative RT-PCR test which was taken within 72 hours of departure.
