Uno Energy Cuts Electricity Rates for New Customers, Becomes Ireland’s Cheapest Supplier

In a bold move, Uno Energy has once again lowered its electricity rates for new customers, marking the third reduction since its launch in August last year. The latest rate, now 4.6% lower than the previous one, solidifies Uno Energy’s position as the market leader with the cheapest unit rate. The fixed rate, guaranteed for 12 months, remains unaffected by fluctuations in wholesale energy markets.

With a new unit electricity rate of 26.13 cents per kilowatt hour, Uno Energy estimates the total annual cost for a typical customer at €1,362 – a substantial €500 less than average rates offered by other suppliers. The company, already serving 10,000 customers, aims to expand its customer base with this competitive pricing strategy. Furthermore, Uno Energy will also reduce its standard rate by 8.5% starting April 1, reinforcing its status as the market’s most affordable standard rate tariff.
