WestJet have announced plans to introduce a new non-stop seasonal service between Dublin and Toronto from next year. The services become operational from May 15th, 2022 initially at four times a week. Then by June 2nd the services will be on daily basis, the company said.
“As demand increases, we know travellers are looking for convenient and affordable options for travel between Canada and Europe,” WestJet chief commercial officer, John Weatherill said.
He also shared his hope that the services will further tighten the business and leisure ties between both counties.
WestJet already has services to Halifax and Calgary in Canada from Dublin Airport.
As the world is slowly recovering from the pandemic, many carriers are announcing new services to various destinations recently. Spanish low-cost carrier Vueling had announced services to Paris from Dublin and Cork airports in the coming winter. Ryanair also had announced restoration of services form Cork Airport in December to different European cities.
