A woman in her 30s has been arrested after the discovery of a man’s body in Navan, Co Meath last night.
The man, who is in his 40s, was discovered on Saturday at a house on Academy Street.
The woman who was arrested is being detained at the Kells Garda station in accordance with Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act of 1984.
The deceased man’s body was preserved and is still present at the scene for forensic and technical analysis. The local coroner and state pathologist were made aware of the death. The investigation is ongoing.

On Saturday, it was reported that a body had been discovered in “unexplained circumstances” elsewhere in the county, in Ashbourne.
