Yellow wind warning issued for Dublin, Wexford and Wicklow; travel disruption possible

Ireland’s national weather service, Met Éireann, has issued a yellow wind warning for parts of the east and south-east of the country due to strong winds.

The warning applies to Dublin, Wexford and Wicklow, and will remain in force from 8 am to 2 pm today (Tuesday).

Authorities are urging people travelling in these areas to be cautious. Strong gusts may make driving difficult, especially for high-sided vehicles, cyclists and pedestrians. There is also a risk of high waves along coastal areas and localised flooding, particularly in low-lying or poorly drained locations.

Members of the public are advised to secure loose objects, avoid exposed coastal routes where possible, and allow extra time for journeys. Travelers are also encouraged to stay updated with the latest weather advisories as conditions may change during the day.
