Aircraft almost ripped into two as two planes collided near Colorado

Collision of two aircrafts in US left one aircraft nearly ripped off while pilot of the other plane had to deploy a parachute to save life. Both planes landed safely and no injuries were reported. The National Transportation Safety Board and South Metro Fire Rescue had said that the aircrafts were getting ready to land at a small regional airport in a suburb of Denver at Colorado.

The pilot was the only one onboard on the twin engined Fairchild Metroliner owned by a Colorado based company which landed on the Centennial Airport as it faced a major damage at its tail part. The other plane had a pilot and a passenger which unleashed a white and red parachute which made its landing safe in a field near Cherry Creek State Park.

The National Transportation Safety Board said that they will send an investigation team to figure out how the collision happened and Key Lime Air had said that they will co-operate with the investigation.
