India added to the Irish mandatory hotel quarantine list as eight new Covid cases of Indian variant detected in Ireland

The new variant of Covid 19 has been ferocious in its spread in India and the cases have been increasing alarmingly. Irish health minister Stephen Donelly had said that they have discovered eight new cases of Covid 19 Indian variant which have raised a bit of concern among the authorities and public.

Based on this situation, Stephen Donelly had announced that Indians who come to Ireland will have to undergo a mandatory hotel quarantine as a precautionary measure. The decision has been made into effect and they give people 72 hours to get prepared for the quarantine.

The minister had also informed about the presence of more variants in Ireland

  • Two California variants
  • Two mutated British Variants
  • Six New York variants
  • 20 Nigerian Variants

Ireland have been very cautious on precautions and preventing the Covid 19 in terms of international travel and they have gone very far ahead among other EU countries.
