A group of teenagers ferociously attacked an Indian shop Gala Store in Willowpark Dublin on last Thursday. They attacked the shopkeeper and throw away items placed in the shop. The shop is owned by Soji Mathews an Indian origin.
Most of the attackers was not wearing mask and the shop keepers immediately tried to close the gates of shop. But some of the youths intruded through the gates and attacked them and caused some minor injuries to the employees.
The violent teenagers tried to lift ice creams, chocolates and other candies and the events are recorded in the CCTV of the shop. Mr.Soji Mathews the shop owners fears that its not secure to run a shop and get a living in Ireland, he came to Ireland with lot of hope to get a better life in the country . He said, “These kind of incidents happened before but not as violent as the one occurred this Thursday”
When he opened the shop on Friday almost 100 people gathered in the park beside the shop and Garda came and dispersed them. Garda is making an inquiry into the incident and no arrest have been made so far. The public commented that teenage attacks are increasing in and around Dublin city and Garda is failing considerably to take any action on time .
