Man arrested following aggravated robbery of shop in Blackrock, Dublin

Following an aggravated robbery that occurred at a store in Blackrock, County Dublin, yesterday afternoon, a man has been taken into custody.

A man armed with a knife entered the location on Rockville Road and threatened employees before departing with some cash. There were no reported injuries during the incident.

When the incident was reported, Garda officers arrived on the spot. The suspect was found after extensive searches of the area. All of the money that was taken was recovered.

A man in his 50s was arrested under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act of 1984 after being captured and brought to Blackrock Garda Station.

A spokesperson for the gardaí said investigations into the incident are ongoing.
