Sunny spells and highs of 23°C expected after early morning thunderstorms

Met Éireann has issued a weather update, predicting a mix of showers and thunderstorms early in the morning for north Leinster, Ulster, and Connacht. However, the weather will improve significantly throughout the day, with mostly dry and sunny conditions expected across the country. Temperatures will range from 17°C to 23°C, with light to moderate westerly winds.

Tonight, temperatures will drop to 14°C or 15°C, with patches of rain or drizzle. This wet weather is expected to linger into Tuesday, which will be cloudy and breezy, with temperatures reaching 21°C to 22°C.

Wednesday will be mostly cloudy, with light rain and temperatures between 16°C and 21°C. Rain will arrive from the west by night, continuing into Thursday before clearing in the evening, making way for sunny spells.

Thursday night and Friday morning are expected to be dry, though rain will move into the west and northwest later in the day. Looking ahead to the weekend, the forecast is generally dry with some showers, and temperatures in the mid to high teens.
