An Post has announced plans to hire 300 additional delivery staff as it prepares for a surge in parcel volumes during the upcoming peak season.
The recruitment drive comes amid a sharp increase in demand, with parcel volumes in the first two months of this year reported to be nearly 50% higher than the same period last year.
New Dublin processing hub
To support the expansion, An Post has opened a new parcel processing facility in Cheeverstown, Dublin 24. The facility is expected to strengthen sorting capacity and improve delivery efficiency across the capital and surrounding regions.
The company said the new hires will help ensure faster and more reliable deliveries as online shopping activity continues to grow.
The move reflects continued shifts in consumer behaviour, with parcel deliveries now forming a central part of An Post’s operations.
