An elderly man in Co. Cork died after falling from his mobility scooter while travelling.
The man fell and suffered significant injuries,was transported by ambulance to Cork University Hospital, where he was later declared dead.
The incident occurred at 9.30 am on Sunday when the man, who was travelling on Cork Street in Kinsale.
Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene. The injured man was taken to Cork University Hospital where he has since passed away.
An examination of the scene by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators has been arranged and the local coroner has since been notified, gardaí said.
