Met Éireann has issued a status yellow warning for counties Clare, Cork, Kerry, Limerick, Tipperary and Waterford following the forecast of dense fog. The warning will be in place from midnight of Monday to 10am on Tuesday.
Following the report, the Road Safety Authority (RSA) has advised the road users to take extra care during the warning period. Due to poor visibility, drivers are advised to switch on dipped headlights and fog lamps, reduce their speed and allow an extra safe distance to the vehicle in front.
Other road users like pedestrians and cyclists have to wear reflective or high-visibility clothing and use lights.
