IKEA plans to open new Irish shop in place of former pub

IKEA has plans to open a new pop-up shop in place of a former pub in Naas, County Kildare.

This popular furniture manufacturer have chosen a vacant space there at North Main Street, near an existing Dunnes Store outlet for this purpose.

The building of interest was formerly known as the Grandstand Pub, and an IKEA representative confirmed that they are interested in the property.

IKEA is always exploring new ways to become even more accessible to customers, they said. Their ambition is to launch a temporary ‘pop-up’ furniture planning unit that will allow our customers the opportunity to book a consultation with our experienced IKEA co-workers on the coordination of kitchens, wardrobes, and living rooms.

IKEA plans to offer an affordable and accessible destination for local residents to enjoy IKEA design experience and expertise closer to home.

As the plans go ahead, the pub would be transformed into a temporary furniture planning unit.

Those searching for furnishings for their dream home will have to book appointments to go into the store to buy kitchen, bedroom, and living room furnishings.
