Around 200 individuals from Kerala, India lured by promises of nursing jobs in Ireland, find themselves banned for five years after their visa applications were rejected due to alleged submission of false documents. The applicants claim they were deceived by a recruitment agency based in Ernakulam, which charged them approximately 4 lakh rupees each. The agency conducted online interviews and assured a quick visa process, but three weeks ago, the aspiring nurses received rejection letters citing fake document submission.
When victims approached the agency, they were warned against revealing the scam to get potential refunds. Some even resigned from jobs in the Gulf for this opportunity. The report indicates that only a few applicants have received partial refunds.
