Ireland plans to help India breathe with their 700 oxygen concentrator units

Covid 19 has made a devastating outbreak in India and this is the fifth day that the positive cases have risen alarmingly. In a situation where there is no enough oxygen to supply according to the demand and bed capacity has been very low in many hospitals, the Irish Government had decided to send 700 units of oxygen concentrates as an aid to help India survive from their dilemma.

The machine which Ireland are planning to send, draws oxygen from the atmosphere and it is delivered to the needy in the form they need. They hope that it will be a help for the frontline workers in caring their inmates. Health Minister Stephen Donelly said that he is very pleased with his fellow colleagues and everyone who help the government in making the life saving donation a successful reality.

Foreign Affairs minister Simon Coveney feels dignified and proud on being one among the first countries to extend a helping hand to India. This donation is done through the Civil Protection Mechanical of the EU and the plan in Ireland was developed by the joint efforts of Department of Health, Department of Foreign Affairs and Local Government.
