Dublin Bus hosting recruitment day for 500 jobs with excellent salary and benefits package

Dublin Bus is hosting a recruitment day in April to find 450 new drivers and 50 engineering employees including mechanics and engineering operatives. 

The recruitment day will be on Saturday 2 April (10 am – 6 pm) at the Technical Training School, Broadstone. The company is offering competitive salaries packages for all positions. The benefits for each of the available positions include either a company pension scheme or a PRSA pension scheme, a subsidised medical scheme, free bus travel, and concessionary rail travel.

Bus drivers:

Salary: €632.05 per week (4-day week inclusive of shift and Sunday premium), increasing to €859.62 (5-day week inclusive of shift and Sunday premium). 

Shifts: These roles operate scheduled services covering late shifts on a 4-day week from Thursday to Monday with the opportunity to progress to a 5-day week with rotating shifts. 

Training: Initial training and mentoring are provided as well as ongoing training and development (including periodic CPC).

Mechanics:

12 Month Fixed-Term Contract (with a view to a permanent contract of employment)
Starting Salary: Salaries begin at €692.78 per week rising to €823.73 based on an 8-year pay scale, with shift premium applicable for night and shift work (up to 30% of basic pay).

Shifts: All successful applicants may be required to work, day/night or rotating shifts depending on the staffing requirements of their location and will be required to drive all company vehicles.


Engineering Operatives:

12 Month Fixed-Term Contract (with a view to a permanent contract of employment)
Starting Salary: €500.80 per week rising to €561.19 based on an 8-year pay scale with shift premium applicable for night and shift work (up to 30% of basic pay).

Shifts: All successful applicants may be required to work, day/night or rotating shifts depending on the staffing requirements of their location and will be required to drive all company vehicles.
