Ireland set for 10 days of sunshine as temperatures soar to 24°C

Ireland is set to enjoy a stretch of sunny weather over the next ten days, with above-average May temperatures, according to Met Éireann.

Deputy Head Forecaster Elizabeth Coleman reported that parts of the west could see highs of up to 24°C today and possibly tomorrow.

“We’ll continue that way really through the week, so lovely sunny weather across the country,” Coleman said.

While temperatures may dip slightly to the high teens or low twenties by the weekend, she noted that sunshine will remain widespread.

She did caution that some isolated heavy showers could occur, mainly in the southern and western regions today and tomorrow.

The fine conditions are due to a high-pressure system that has settled over the country for the past week, bringing dry and bright weather.
