Ireland set to break more restriction locks from May 10 onwards

Some restrictions in the Republic of Ireland will change from 10th May. As per public health advice, more restrictions may be lifted on May 17th and in early June.

From 10th of May onwards

  • You can travel outside the county
  • People from 3 houses can have meetings outside the house or 6 people from any houses can meet too
  • Fully vaccinated people can meet others
  • Barbers, hairdressers and other personal services can be reopened
  • Outdoor trainings can be started for adults in pods of up to 15
  • Church services could be held except communions and confirmations
  • Museums, galleries and libraries can be reopened
  • Outdoor gathering can be done with 15 people in attendance
  • Weddings can have 50 people at service.
  • 50 people can attend funerals

From 17th May onwards

  • All non essential shops can reopen

From 2nd June onwards

  • Hotels, bed and breakfasts can reopen for guests

From 7th June onwards

  • Visitors will be allowed to your home
  • Restaurants and pubs could be reopened for outdoor service
  • Gyms, Swimming pools and leisure centres can reopen
  • Sports matches could be held without audience
