Irish rail adds extra services for Oasis Croke Park concerts

Irish Rail has announced additional train services for this weekend’s highly anticipated Oasis concerts at Croke Park, with extra early morning arrivals and late-night departures to help fans travel from across the country.

The rail operator has scheduled additional services to both Heuston and Connolly stations on concert mornings, with trains departing from Cork, Galway, Waterford, and Belfast. For those unable to secure weekend accommodation, late-night services after midnight will operate to major destinations.

Barry Kenny, Irish Rail spokesperson, emphasized that the schedule allows concertgoers to see the full show and still catch trains home. “We have added an eight o’clock train from Cork to Heuston on Saturday morning, and 7:45 on Sunday morning. We have also added trains from Waterford as well,” he said.

Late-night services include departures at 12:30am from Heuston to Galway and 12:40am from Heuston to Cork, ensuring fans can enjoy the entire concert experience without worrying about transport home.

Saturday, August 16th services include early morning arrivals from Cork (8:00am), Waterford (10:15am), and Dundalk (11:00am), with late departures including services to Belfast (11:59pm), Galway (12:30am), and Cork (12:40am).

Sunday, August 17th features similar arrangements with morning services from Cork (7:45am), Waterford (10:45am), and multiple Dundalk departures, plus late-night returns to major destinations.

Some services are already fully booked, with passengers advised to book online immediately. For after-midnight services, bookings must be made for the following day’s date.

The additional services reflect the massive demand for the reunited Manchester band’s first Irish shows in decades.
