Residential property prices across Ireland increased by 8.2 per cent in the 12 months to May this year, according to figures from the Central Statistics Office.
CSO data found that property prices in Dublin rose by 8.6 per cent, while rates outside the capital city went up by 7.8 per cent.
This was the ninth straight month of annual house price growth and the highest rate of increase since November 2022.
The median price of a dwelling purchased in the 12 months to May 2024 was €335,000, the CSO indicated. While the lowest media price for a dwelling in this period was €169,500 in Longford, the highest media price was €626,000 in Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown.
The most expensive Eircode area over this period was D06 ‘Dublin 6’ with a median price of €740,000, according to CSO data.
