Property Development Company Clúid Housing offers cost rental housing to public at their newly built housing estates in Kildare. The plan is supported by the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage and the rent covers the cost of the construction, management, and maintenance of the new home, company said in their website.
The cost rental properties available are Barnhall Meadows in Leixlip, Kildare.
According to Clúid, the rents of these properties are 45% below the average local area rent. Two-bed and three-bed units are available under the scheme. 56 properties are available in total and the rents per month starts from €900 and €1,250 per month.
Once applied, the selection process is through lottery. Lucky ones will be given the opportunity to avail homes for long-term rent.
Eligibility
To apply for these properties under cost-rental scheme, certain criteria are there. If you fulfill the below criteria, you can apply for the homes until 5pm Tuesday 26th October 2021.
- Your net household income is below €53,000 per annum
- You are not in receipt of any social housing supports (including Rent Supplement or HAP)
- You do not own a property
- Your household size matches the size of the property advertised
- You can afford to pay the cost rent for the home
- Your household has only entered one application for a specific cost rental property
