A man in his 50s has been arrested following a stabbing incident in Carlow.
The Garda were alerted about a situation on Barrow Track in Carlow town at 6.45pm on Sunday, where two men were found fatally injured from apparent stabbing. They- one in his 50s and other in his 40s- were immediately taken to St. Luke’s General Hospital, Kilkenny for treatment. Though the injuries are serious both of them are believed to be getting better after the treatment.
Following the incident, a man in his 50s has been arrested shortly and he is being questioned at Carlow Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.
The scene has been sealed off for forensic examination.
