A man in his 30s has been killed in a road crash in Co Kilkenny in the early hours of this morning.
The single-vehicle collision happened in Carn, Dunbell, at around 2.50 am on Friday.
The car’s driver, a man, was declared dead at the scene, which was attended by emergency personnel and Gardai.
A postmortem examination is scheduled to take place after his body was transported to St Luke’s General Hospital in Kilkenny.
The road has been closed to allow for an examination of the scene by forensic collision investigators.
Anyone who may have witnessed the incident is asked to come forward, particularly if they have camera footage.
