Higher Education Minister Simon Harris and wife Caoimhe have welcomed their second baby. Caoimhe gave birth to a baby boy in Holles Street hospital on Wednesday.
The Minister shared the photos of him holding the new born on Instagram and wrote,
“Today we welcomed Baby Cillian into the world. Caoimhe and baby doing great and Saoirse delighted to be a big sister and looking forward to meeting him soon. Thanks so much to all staff in Holles Street. I will now take paternity leave for a few weeks to get to know this new little man.”
He also said that he would be on paternity leave for next few weeks. Meanwhile Tánaiste Leo Varadkar will take over the department in his absence.
Earlier this year, Justice Minster Helen McEntee had given birth to a baby boy and became the first Minister in Ireland to do so while in office.
