M&S’s Irish online orders still paused after cyber attack, while UK services resume

British retailer Marks & Spencer has resumed taking online orders for select clothing ranges in the UK, but Irish customers remain unable to shop online as the company continues to recover from a damaging cyber attack.

The 141-year-old retail giant, a familiar presence in Irish high streets, confirmed on its UK website today that “select fashion ranges [are] now available to buy online.”

However, the Irish M&S site still has online orders paused.

M&S halted all clothing and home online sales via its website and app on April 25, following significant disruptions to its contactless payment and click-and-collect services over the Easter Bank Holiday weekend.

The company first disclosed it was dealing with a “cyber incident” on April 22.

While UK customers are gradually regaining access to online services, there is no word yet on when Irish operations will follow suit.
