The leading fashion store chain in Ireland Pennys is to open new distribution centre in Newbridge, Co Kildare, reports the Breaking News. The centre will be built at Greatconnell in Newbridge and will serve 482 permanent and temporary jobs during construction and later when it becomes operational.
The project plan has been submitted to the Kildare County Council and Barola Capital DAC is undertaking the construction.
The store Primark is known as Pennys in the Republic of Ireland and as Primark itself elsewhere. It has 36 stores in the country the new distribution centre will be delivering goods to these stores.
The project is expected to be completed with a budget of €118 million, where €43 million is for construction. Rest of the amount will be spent for equipment.
It will create 212 jobs during construction and 270 people will be appointed to the centre once it becomes fully operational.
