Pop singer Justin Bieber suffers facial paralysis due to Ramsay Hunt syndrome

The Canadian pop singer Justin Bieber has revealed that he’s suffering from a rare disorder which has left the right side of his face paralysed. The Ramsay Hunt Syndrome is reportedly caused by a virus that affects facial nerves.

The singer also shared his diagnosis in a video posted on his social media handle. 

Posting a video on Instagram, the singer said: “It is from this virus that attacks the nerve in my ear in my facial nerves and has caused my face to have paralysis.

He said that he’s experiencing temporary paralysis on the right side of his face. He is unable to blink or smile.

“I wanted to update you guys on what’s been going on. Obviously, as you can probably see from my face, I have, a, this syndrome called Ramsay Hunt Syndrome and it is from this virus that attacks the nerve in my ear and my facial nerves and has caused my face to have paralysis.” 

Justin Bieber also announced that he will be unable to perform in his upcoming shows. “My body’s telling me I gotta slow down,” he said. 

Justin Bieber was on his Justice World Tour. Earlier this week, it was announced that a couple of his shows will be postponed due to a health emergency. Fans are sending the pop star their love and support and urging him to rest.
