Indian origin Michelle Shochan made history today by beating Denmark’s Anne Mouritsen in the final of the German U17 Open badminton tournament.
Ireland’s U17 badminton player, Michelle defeated Anne Mouritsen 23-21 21-18 in the girls singles final match at Gladbach, Bergisch Germany.
Michelle entered the final of the U17 German Open after beating France’s Clara Ayuso Thevenet 21-11 21-11.
Earlier, she won a very close quarterfinal match against Denmark Malou Pedersen 24-22 21-17.
