Avoca Thai Red Lentil & Vegetable Curry has been withdrawn off shelves in shops across the nation after being given the incorrect use-by date on the packaging.
The family dinner favourite has been labelled with a use-by date of 19/08/22. However, the correct use-by date is 15/08/2022.
Stores stocking the batch will display point-of-sale recall notices to alert consumers of the mispacking incident.
In a notice today, the FSAI said: “Avoca is recalling the above batch of its Thai Red Lentil & Vegetable Curry as it was mispacked with Thai Red Chicken & Vegetable Curry (use by date: 15/08/2022).
“The use by date stated on the label is 19/08/2022, which is incorrect.
Point-of-sale recall notices will be displayed in stores supplied with the implicated batch.
