Two Universities from Ireland in the top 100 World Universities for employability

University College Dublin and Trinity College Dublin have been named among world’s top 100 universities for employability. The list was prepared by the Graduate Employability Rankings and the global higher education analysts company QS for the year 2022.

In the list of 550 universities around the world, UCD maintained at 87th position and Trinity College at 91st making them two among the top 100. Trinity College was at the 92nd position last time and climbed one place but UCD lost 10 places and fell from 77th to 87th position. UCD got a score of 61.1 out of 100 and Trinity scored 60.1.

The list evaluates how much job opportunity the students receive after completing graduation from the universities by considering various factors like partnerships with employers, including internships, the number of sectoral leaders among their alumni, the frequency with which employers are present on campus, and a location-adjusted graduate employment rate.

In the wider list of 550 universities, six universities from Ireland found their places. And four out of these six were able to improve their positions from the last year’s rankings.

Dublin City University and the University of Limerick are in the best 200 and the University College Cork performed well and climbed 50 places and now stands at 201st position. The National University of Ireland at Galway remains in the 301st – 500th group.

Meanwhile the top three universities in the list are exclusively from the United States; Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Stanford University and University of California and Los Angeles (UCLA) maintains positions 1st to 3rd respectively.

Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IITB) and Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IITD) from India come among top 150.
