Gardaí are investigating a fatal shooting incident that occurred in the Finglas area of Dublin on Saturday night.
The woman, who was in her thirties, was shot at a house on Collins Place in Finglas at around 8.40 pm. She was seriously injured during the incident and was taken to Mater Misericordiae Univerisity Hospital, where she has since passed away.
The coroner has been notified and arrangements are being made for the State Pathologist to conduct a post-mortem.
No arrests have been made and detectives are also investigating if the incident is linked to another shooting that took place in the same area earlier in the week.
They are also seeking CCTV, mobile, and dashcam footage and will carry out house-to-house inquiries.
Gardaí are appealing for anyone with information or anyone who may have witnessed this incident to come forward.
