Afghan refugee gives birth to baby girl on flight at 30,000 feet

An Afghan refugee gave birth to baby girl assisted by the cabin crew in the flight while travelling to the UK.

The Afghan national Soman Noori (26) was travelling from Dubai to Birmingham as part of evacuation process in a Turkish airline. She and husband with two children reached Dubai from Kabul escaping from the Taliban.

Noori felt pain while the flight was at a height of 30,000 feet and in the absence of doctors, the cabin crew on the board helped her give birth to the baby. Though the birth was without complications, flight was landed in Kuwait to make sure the mom and the baby were well. Later the Turkish flight continued travel to Birmingham and landed at 11.45am.

The baby is named ‘Havva’ which is ‘Eve’ in English. The photos of cabin crew holding the little Havva is circulated being on social media.
