Super market chain Aldi to open new store in Kanturk, Co Cork following a green light from the county council. The store will be built with an investment of €7 million and expect to be completed by the end of 2023.

25 permanent jobs will be created at the store and 80 jobs during the constriction will also be there, the company has said.

The new store will be operating with 100% renewable energy and 103 car parking spaces will be built along. A two-storey café, restaurant and four free-to-use electric vehicle charging points are the other attractive facilities at the store.

The store will boost localized food and drink business as Aldi will work along with local businessmen, the company had said.

“Last year, we sourced €68.5 million of locally produced food and drink from Co Cork based suppliers.” It added.
