Almost 5,000 availed Covid vaccine through walk-in centres so far this weekend

Almost 5,000 people availed Covid vaccines so far through the walk-in vaccination centres set up by the HSE during this weekend. The centres started operation in 43 locations across the country from Friday. They all offer Pfizer vaccine without prior appointment to all people above 16 years.

Through last week’s walk-in vaccination centres, more than 30,000 people took Covid vaccine, the health officials had confirmed earlier. With the huge support from the public, the HSE was deciding to set up new centres in the consecutive weekend too. The service is available today also.

People going directly to the clinics will need the following documents:

  • Personal Public Service (PPS) number – if you have one
  • Eircode
  • mobile phone number
  • email address
  • photo ID that has your date of birth – this can be a passport, driving license, Garda age card, school ID
