NMBI Extends Validity Of English Language Test Results For Ireland Registration Applicants

In response to recent delays in obtaining work visas in Ireland, the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) has announced an extension of the validity period for English language test results required for registration. This decision comes as a relief to many applicants who faced difficulties due to the delays in securing ATWS visas, resulting in missed opportunities to complete the adaptation and aptitude test.

The extension grants an additional three months to the validity of examination results, including those from the International English Language Test System (IELTS) and Occupational English Test (OET). To be eligible for this extension, applicants must meet specific criteria. Further extensions will be considered for those who can provide evidence that their application was delayed due to ATWS visa issues and, as a result, they missed the designated opportunity in 2023.

This move by NMBI is expected to offer much-needed flexibility to applicants affected by visa-related delays and ensure that their registration process remains on track. For more details, you can visit NMBI’s official website.
