Covid-19: 7,956 new cases and 629 in hospital, including 53 in ICU

The Health Protection Surveillance Centre has today been notified of 4,335 PCR-confirmed cases of COVID-19. Additionally, there have been 3,621 positive antigen tests registered through the HSE’s portal, leading to a combined total of 7,956 cases reported today. As of 8 am today, 629 COVID-19 patients are hospitalised, of whom 53 are in ICU.
