On April 13th, the vibrant community of Indian heritage in Counties Cavan and Monaghan came together to celebrate the fifteenth anniversary of the Cavan Indian Association. Held at the Cavan Ballyhais Community Hall, the occasion also marked the annual Cavan Day, organized by the association.
Senator Joe Reilly inaugurated the festivities at 6 pm, setting the tone for an evening of camaraderie and celebration. Among the dignitaries present were Associate President Fawaz Madassery, General Secretary Preeti Jojo, and past presidents such as Alex John, Benny John, and Jimmy Paul, who shared their reflections on the association’s journey over the years.
A highlight of the event was the prize distribution ceremony for the talented winners of Kids Fest, adding an extra layer of joy and excitement to the occasion. The program continued with captivating performances by association members, showcasing the rich cultural heritage of India.
Adding a musical touch to the evening, the M50 band enthralled the audience with their performance, keeping the spirits high and the atmosphere lively. As the festivities drew to a close, Association Treasurer Abin Clement extended a heartfelt vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all who contributed to the success of the event.
