Telugu people living in Ireland celebrated the centenary birthday of the Telugu pride, legendary actor, and pioneer in politics the great Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao often referred to by his initials NTR.
Dr. Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao is a Padmasree awardee who floated a political party named “Telugu Desam” which came into power within nine months of its inception which is a remarkable feat in the history of India.
This event took place at Phoenix Park, in Dublin. The day was blessed with a pleasant climate and amid nature’s beauty, the Telugu community celebrated its first outdoor event.
A large number of Telugu people participated in this event and paid tribute to the renowned Sr. NTR. Everyone gathered reminisced about the special services provided by NTR to Telugu states, his contributions to the Telugu film industry, his welfare, and the socio-economic policies implemented during his regime as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.
People shared their sweet memories of Shri. NTR, his achievements, dedication, exemplary lifestyle, and his commitment to serving the Telugu people. Participants enjoyed traditional Telugu delicacies served after the event.
The event that concluded joyfully also had decided unanimously that a delegation from Telugu people shall meet Indian Ambassador in Ireland and submit a petition requesting the nomination of the prestigious “BHARAT RATNA” award to Snr. NTR.
